These terms govern your use of Shiyu (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to them.
Shiyu is a simple countdown and anniversary app. It lets you create and edit days, shows how many days remain or have passed, supports groups, repeating days and reminders, offers Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and syncs across your devices through your iCloud account.
The App has no account system. Your identity is your iCloud account on iOS; we do not collect phone numbers, email addresses, or third-party logins.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, redistribute, or resell the App, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Without membership you can keep one day at a time, browse groups, use reminders, and sync. Creating, renaming, or deleting groups requires membership. Existing content is never deleted or locked; you can edit or delete it at any time.
Everything you record (titles, dates, groups, notes) belongs to you. It is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud private database. We run no servers and cannot read your data.
Please make sure iCloud is available and has enough space. Deleting the App removes local data; the iCloud copy can be removed in Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes or to interfere with its normal operation.
The App is provided “as is”. Reminders depend on iOS notification permission and system scheduling and may not fire because of system limits, Focus modes, low power, or your settings. Do not rely on the App where timing is critical (for example medical, aviation, or financial use).
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for issues caused by data loss, device failure, iCloud outages, or system updates.
We may change or discontinue features through App updates. If the App is discontinued, the data you recorded remains in your device and your iCloud.
These terms may be updated as the App evolves. The current version is always published on this page with a date. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; otherwise they are submitted to the competent court at the defendant’s domicile.
